The SURFIN mini box is designed
to attach both plastic and fibreglass fins. The Surfin mini box 'lug'
(pat pend) can be glued to the tab of any fin enabling a tight
adjustable track within the mini box.
Fittin the SURFIN 'mini box
requires a router jig for best fitting. The boxes are set with the
standard box fitting process for surfboards. A strip of tape set on
top of the mini box is used to stop overflow into the boxes. 2-3
extra layers of staggered fibreglass cloth around the mini boxes may
be used when glassing the board. The box 'lip' is sanded flush with
the board at the sanding stage.
We have a range of fibreglass
fins to fit the mini box, or you may easily make your own from
scratch or by modifying several fin systems presently on the
market.
